Splash of red on a grey day.

This photo was taken a couple of weeks ago when the snow was still lingering on the ground not wanting to leave, but even though the snow has now disappeared the weather is still much the same. Grey and dreary.

So I thought a nice splash of red will really help liven the day up. I got this dress the other day on sale for only £6 which I thought was a steal.
Though there is still a bit of chill in the air so I think a pair of tights would go nicely with this unless you are part of the lucky few who don't feel the cold.

I heard this song the other day and absolutely fell in love with his voice so I thought I would share for those who have not yet heard it.

Paris 2015

In July 2015 I turned 20! And to celebrate my boyfriend decided to take me to Paris for that weekend.
To celebrate my birthday in the city of love was very nice though I feel it's a city that may be a little bit over hyped maybe?
Also on the Sunday not a whole lot was open AND it decided to rain! But of course you can't help that.
Though saying that, I would like to go back to spend more than a couple of days to get the full sense of the place and to go when it isn't the middle of summer when everyone decides to take their holiday, it was VERY busy with a lot of ques.

We decided to take the Eurostar to and From Paris as neither of us had traveled on it before. No complaints from either of us, you go through security just as you would an airport so it was pretty easy and simple. I wasn't expecting my ears to pop like on an airplane but luckily it didn't last too long when we were going through the Channel tunnel.

I felt I had to take at least one arty picture whilst visiting the Eiffel Tower.

To see the Eiffel Tower lit up at night was I think the best experience of the trip. It didn't have all the lights twinkling at any point which I would have like to see but overall it was a very pretty view.

Wednesday, 4 December 2013

I like drinking coffee alone, and reading alone.
I like riding the bus alone, and walking home alone.
It gives me time to think, and set my mind free.
I like eating alone, and listening to music alone.
But when I see a mother with a child;
a girl with her lover;
or a friend laughing with their best friend;
I realize that even though I like being alone
I don't fancy being alone.

A small snippet

Who: Me and my futile attempt at an outfit of the day.
Currently reading: Death cure by James Dashner. Last book in the trilogy Maze Runner. Hopefully I'll post a review once I've finished reading because this series is a complete mind fuck.
Smelling of: Taylor Swift Wonderstruck. My lovely mother surprised me with a bottle of it yesterday for being an absolute angel while things turned upside for a while around this neck of the woods.
Favorite song of the moment: Royal Blood - out of the black...

October extinguished itself in a rush of howling winds and driving rain and November arrived, cold as frozen iron, with hard frosts every morning and icy drafts that bit at exposed hands and faces
