confetti cake batter cookies

I got this recipe here off of Sally's baking addiction, I've been a follower of hers for quite a while now and always end up drooling over her pictures of things shes baked, but I've never got around to making any of her mouth watering creations, until today. Her's look a little bit better than mine, OK a lot better than mine but in the end its all about the taste, and they tasted gorgeous!

This is an american cake mix so I don't think you would be able to get it at a local supermarket in England, but I've just quickly researched on the interwebs, and they sell different types of boxes on amazon. I managed to get mine because I live near an american air base, and we have american friends so they sometimes get us some of their amazing food.

The dough becomes VERY thick and sticky and after a while it takes a bit of muscle to keep mixing but I got there in the end. On sally's baking addiction blog it says to just keep stirring the pockets of dry mix out but there were a lot of little small lumps, so I found the back of a tea spoon dispersed them quicker.

You'r going to need A LOT of sprinkles, as you will see in the pictures below none of them even showed up in my ones :( but I digress.

I was able to make 18 cookies, but I think I might have made the balls a bit too big.

And this is how they turned out!! If you have taking a look at Sally's baking addiction blog then you will see how mine pale in comparison but hey-ho. The middle tasted a little bit under cooked, though that could be because our oven is useless but the corners were chewy and soft. Ultimately I give it a 4 out of 5 stars!!

Signing out, Kim! xxx
